Our Story – The Heart Behind Kidora
It All Started with a Pile of Tiny Clothes
When my daughter, Sofia, was born in 2022, our home quickly filled with adorable outfits, soft blankets, and tiny shoes—some gifted with love, others bought in excitement as we prepared for her arrival.
But as Sofia grew, I found myself sorting through boxes of clothes she never even wore and items she had already outgrown. I started listing them on Facebook Marketplace, but quickly realized:
- Too many time-wasters and endless messaging
- Meetups that never happened
- No time to search for new clothes
That’s when I thought:
Why isn’t there an easier way to buy and sell baby clothes in the UK?
A Marketplace Built for Parents, by a Parent
I spent months researching how to make second-hand shopping easier for parents like me. I wanted a place where:
- Parents can sell outgrown clothes hassle-free
- New mums and dads can find quality second-hand baby clothes
- Everything is simple, safe, and built with love
With the support of my partner, we built Kidora—a UK-based marketplace for baby and kids' second-hand and new clothes, accessories, and maternity wear.
Then, in 2004, we welcomed another little one—our son, Kai. This time, I knew better. I had seen firsthand how quickly children outgrow their things and how much joy it brings to pass them on to another family.
Kidora: More Than Just a Marketplace
Kidora is more than a second-hand marketplace—it’s a community of parents helping parents.
- Every item carries a story
- Every sale helps another family
- Every purchase reduces waste & helps our planet
Our platform is designed with love, warmth, and simplicity—so that every parent, grandparent, and caregiver can buy & sell with ease.
Declutter your home • Shop for your little one • Join a community of parents like you
Because every piece of clothing has a second story to tell.
